2015-2016
A Campaign on Adolescent Health
Problem
(26th September-2nd
October 2015)
A Campaign on
Adolescent Health Problem was organized from 26th September to 2nd
October 2015 by Department of Zoology, DSCW. Dr.
Rita Gaba Rai delivered a lecture on PCOS to students. Teachers who made
their presence in the campaign shared their views on adolescence health
problems. Adolescence is a period of biological, cognitive and social
transition of such magnitude and rapidity that it is no surprise to find that
it is associated with the onset or exacerbation of a number of health-related
problems.
It is the level of
self-awareness among adolescents, which enables them to see where their
thoughts and emotions take them. Through this students were cognizant of
adolescent health problems like Nutritional health, Mental health, Accidental
and Intentional Violence, Substance Abuse. Discussion was done with alumni on
HIV and different sexual problems. The students were comfortable with the
discussion on this.
