About the Zoology Department

The Zoology Department provides an outstanding undergraduate and post graduate  education for smart and talented students who are looking for a rigorous and challenging educational environment. Zoology is home to a blossoming community of researchers who share a fascination in how whole organisms develop, function, behave, interact and evolve.An initial teaching effort in the department was tailored to train students leading them to a B.Sc. degree and subsequently Masters and Ph. D program. It is conferred by “STAR SCIENCE DEPARTMENT” by UGC, New Delhi. The Department has an outstanding High Definition Seminar Hall, Vertebrate lab, Invertebrate lab, Research Lab containing five functional unit of Biostatistical Analysis Unit, Computer attached High Definition Microscope, Cold Centrifuge, Ultralow Temperature Deep Freezer, Thermal Cycler of Applied Biosystem, UIV/VIS Spectrophotometer. PCR Machine, Museum of Zoology etc., is used for teaching and research.

• Bachelor of Science: A rigorous program for students planning to pursue a graduate degree in zoology.
• Master of Zoology :  A rigorous program for students planning to pursue a post-graduate degree in zoology.
