Pig Farming

DSCW strive its best to promote livestock farming as a sustainable entrepreneurship through various means. Continuing this effort, the department of zoology had organized training programme on Pig Farming as a viable entrepreneurship. Dr. Manjeet Singh delivered a lecture on how to rear the animal, breeding nature and about its diet and disease. A total of 40 candidates attended the programme at Pig Farming and Breeding Farm Malwal, Ferozpur, Dept. of Animal Husbandry, Punjab  on 13th March, 2015.

 

Fish Farming

Fish  farms  are  the  foundation  stones  of  Fisheries  development  in  Inland Fisheries  Sector. The  seed  produced  at  these  seed  production  center  is either used for replenishing the harvested fish stock of open waters i.e., rivers or  reservoirs  or  is  further  reared  under  semi controlled  conditions  in  growing ponds  and  sold  for  table  purposes.  For this purpose, a lecture on fish and fisheries was delivered by Mr. Jagminder Singh on 14th March, 2015.

One Week Hand on Training Program of Medical lab Technology (In Collaboration with Guru Nanak Diagnostic Lab & Vishal Lab, Ferozepur City) on 18th -24^th March, 2015. Student of B.Sc III learned various upcoming methodology related to medical diagnostic techniques.
